There are always new pioneers, even after 60 years. Jessica Pajalunga, 25, has paved the way for a new professional profile for Teddy, an increasingly essential role in the world of digital retail.
Teddy has a lots of long and short stories that are similar to each other, linked by a word that recurs more than others and has marked their development more than others. This word is trust, the attitude of someone who sees opportunities and decides to put his faith in the person in front of him, without any guarantee of success. It is an attitude of freedom and courage that characterised the company in its early days and that continues to be a trustworthy compass that guides important decisions today. Trust is a living word, and Jessica Pajalunga's story is an example of it.
Jessica is 25 years old, she studied fashion in Rimini and is a passionate writer. When she came to Teddy for an interview two years ago, she was a young girl who, like many others, was getting a job for the first time, with a baggage of studies, great determination and a desire to learn. The interview with the recruiters goes well, her personality and manner impress them so much that they offer her an internship for a new role that no one at Teddy has ever held. As of today, Jessica Pajalunga is Teddy's first PIM specialist, a newcomer to the recruitment scene, the child of a digital retail world in constant evolution. “I work in the digital sector," explains Jessica, "and like its components, I work across all the brands. My role is to manage PIM, Product Information Management, which is a master data management system for all products in a complete and centralised way to standardise and simplify information management across different sales channels.
Her role requires constant dialogue with different business departments, and her first year on the job was a tough one. “My start was really complicated and difficult. I had to technically define my professional role as a PIM specialist, and many aspects had to be defined gradually, step by step". Throughout this journey, which has had its moments of stagnation, Jessica has never lost heart, thanks to the intangible value of confidence, which in the most critical situations makes the difference between those who throw in the towel and those who keep going. “I was lucky to have a manager who followed and supported me every step of the way. What I also appreciated from the beginning was the great responsibility I was given and now, after two years, I am very satisfied. The internship has turned into a contract, and I am slowly starting to master the instrument more and more, although, to be honest, I still have a lot to learn and study. My goal for the future is to grow and become the company's reference person for any master data information".
This is Trust: it transforms and broadens the horizons of those receiving it.
