Daria Troian has very clear ideas about her present and future at Teddy: building a CRM that leads the way in the industry. In her opinion there are still so many roads to cover to improve and grow.
Change and adjustment to the most different situations. Those are the two words best summing up the journey of Daria Troian inside Teddy. Her adventure in the Company started with a bang, a train journey from Belluno, in Northern Italy, to Rimini in the most hectic July weekend, the days of the Pink Night (Notte Rosa), when the city turns into a fort under the siege of tourists and is not exactly the most desirable place in the world. “I had been given an appointment for an interview at the beginning of the weekend and when I arrived in town I witnessed a frenzied situation”, says Daria joking. However, the strong impact with Rimini environment struck her again when she entered Teddy: Daria who was accustomed to the colder attitude of Northern Italy, in addition to that of her homeland, Ukraine, found a firmly rooted passion where the human and professional sides combined in a “crazy” and unmistakable way.
The first period was a bit of adjustment but then everything became like an exciting climb. Graduated in International Management in Trento and with a strong passion for fashion and innovation, Daria entered Teddy as a business analyst for a project that was at its very early stages, but with a great potential for the times: Terranova e-commerce. “We were a small team but across those four years we laid the necessary foundations for the future development. I was very prepared from the point of view of data and controlling analysis, less from that of business and the integration with the other departments, but it was an opportunity to grow and develop new skills”. Later on Daria was asked to work in the sales network where, also thanks to her language skills, she assisted commercial supervisors in the Russian market for a while. Those were years full of exchanges and relationships, when the thing that struck Daria most was the unusual working style: you would not just perform the tasks assigned but be asked to find solutions beyond your field of competence.
Her experience with sales was resourceful, but her wish was to go back to the world of marketing. An opportunity she had to postpone for internal needs more and more times until there were the ideal conditions making the Company able to fulfil her expectations. Today Daria is back at work in her favorite sector and is in charge of the Loyalty scheme: her dream is to build a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) that leads the way and is competitive with the best companies in the industry. “The world of relations with customers is still unexplored in some parts and rich in potential to be discovered, so my aim is to truly have customers be the focus”, she says at the end.
