Teddy rocks the Retail Awards Italy

On last May 24th, the annual ceremony for the Retail Awards Italy was held at the Four Season Hotel in Milan, organized by the magazine Retail&Food and the Italian Council of Shopping Centres in collaboration with MAPIC: there were 10 categories representing the retail market in Italy, from fashion to health&beauty, from services to food and the big GDO competitors.

An overall number of about 120 brands and 110 finalists participated in the contest, belonging to established national and international businesses, but also to emerging businesses with regional networks, totalling over 16,000 active points of sale throughout Italy.
Retail Awards Italy is a competition in which the great diversity of the players is a proof of the aliveness and dynamism of the market.

Teddy was awarded two prizes in front of 300 managers of Italian shopping centres: Terranova was the winning brand in the category “Family store”, for “its ability to meet the needs of any age group in a modern and innovative way, offering a modern combination of fashion contents not linked to fashion traditional themes, but going towards the third millennium”; Calliope was the winner in the category “Moda, accessori e sport” (Fashion, accessories and sports) because it is “a brand with strong Italian roots that has been able to go global without losing sight of the mission of its corporate group, which is based on ethics, innovation and lifelong learning; in other words, Corporate and Industrial Culture”.

The awards were collected on behalf of Gruppo Teddy by Roberto Pimpinelli and Andrea Baffoni, who both work as Teddy developers.
