Teddy Group renews its solidarity commitment: the corporate food drive "1000 hands for 2000 smiles" returns in 2026
Once again this year, alongside the Fondazione Banco Alimentare and other charitable organizations, the Group's offices hosted the annual event dedicated to collecting food items for people in need.
Rimini, May 2026 – In 2026 as well, Teddy Group (www.teddy.it), one of the international leaders in the clothing sector with the brands Terranova, Calliope, Rinascimento, and QB24, supported the corporate food drive "1000 hands for 2000 smiles," promoted by Teddy, highlighting its concrete commitment to the community and the local area. This initiative fully aligns with the corporate vision which, thanks to its Corporate Citizenship program, intervenes to support emerging educational needs, youth training, and the fight against poverty, fostering a corporate community that is supportive of people's needs.
Teddy's Food Drive: Now an Unmissable Event
The initiative took place simultaneously across all Teddy locations—from Rimini to Gatteo, and from Bologna to San Marino—from May 4 to 14, actively involving employees in a gesture as simple as it is effective and meaningful. Indeed, on Thursday, May 14, the final day of the initiative, the food items donated by colleagues were collected by the Group's representatives to be subsequently distributed to local organizations dedicated to supporting those most in need.
The 2026 edition reconfirmed the warm support from collaborators, testifying to a strong and heartfelt sense of participation. A total of 257 female and male colleagues were involved, contributing to the collection of 177 menus and approximately 885 kg of food, which was then delivered to the chosen associations.
Once again this year, the three local entities to which the collected products will be destined are among the most active in the area:
- Capanna di Betlemme (a social-care facility providing a home for homeless individuals) in Bologna;
- Casa Santa Chiara (a cooperative welcoming people with disabilities) in Bologna;
- Banco Alimentare (an association active in supporting individuals and families facing economic difficulties through the distribution of essential goods) in Rimini.
This initiative fits perfectly with the DNA of Teddy Group, which since its foundation has promoted a business model attentive to sustainable economic growth and, above all, to social impact and local area enhancement. The result is a strengthening of the relationship between the company, its employees, and the local community.
"For the 2026 edition as well, we chose to organize the food drive by dividing into teams to evoke that feeling of healthy competition. It is a way to make the initiative even more engaging, but the goal remains a single one: to contribute concretely to helping individuals and families facing difficulties. As a Group, we believe that by combining people's energy and enthusiasm with a deeply felt common purpose, it is possible to generate a real impact on the local area. This is one of many initiatives we carry out every year to nurture a corporate community mindful of self-giving and providing support to those who are most vulnerable, and supporting them," states Matteo Lessi, Corporate Affairs & Communication Director of Teddy Group.
