About us

The Founder

Everything began with the dream of a man, Vittorio Tadei, who envisioned a company capable of creating work, dignity, and beauty. A company that would put people at the center and become an instrument of growth, solidarity, and personal fulfillment.

That dream was not just an entrepreneurial idea, but a vision of the world: to build something great that would help others become who they are.

Today, that dream is still our compass. Teddy's new dream is rooted precisely there, in Vittorio's vision, and continues to guide us towards a company that looks to people, communities, and the future.

The dream

Teddy's dream is to build a large global company that earns a lot to expand, create employment, and use a portion of its net profits each year to help the most vulnerable through social works both in Italy and abroad.

The dream is to build a company where young and old, through work, can give meaning and purpose to their lives.

The dream is to build a company where, for every five employees, one vulnerable person can work, supported by colleagues through work to rediscover their dignity daily.

The dream is to train a courageous, responsible, competent leadership class, projected towards the future, without fear, and capable of transmitting these values to all who come after them.

Teddy's Dream originated from Vittorio Tadei's vision, formalized in the 90s. The Dream has always been conceived by Vittorio as "the compass that guides our culture, our way of acting in the daily life of our company." For this reason, from 2025, we will update it periodically so that it can guide our work in light of changes and new awareness.

Dressing the world with beauty and hospitality, fostering personal fulfillment

Our purpose stems from the desire to build a company capable of generating beauty and hospitality, both inside and outside the company. We want to offer every person – employee, customer, partner – the opportunity to feel part of something bigger, finding trust, inspiration, and space for self-realization. Through our brands, we spread a style that goes beyond clothing: our inclusive, human, and authentic style.

Dress to Belong

Dress to Belong is how we shape our purpose every day.

It means building belonging: creating spaces, relationships, and moments where everyone can feel part of something real. It's not just about dressing, but about welcoming, recognizing, and valuing. It is the style with which we make our vision visible: a company that unites, includes, and helps people grow, together.

We are one of the major Italian players in fashion retail. Our business model generates value through authentic relationships and shared goals.

We offer global consumers total look collections inspired by Italian positivity, beauty, and creativity, always with a welcoming customer experience.

We operate in retail with an international network of entrepreneurial franchisees and distribute our brands globally through a solid and structured wholesale distribution, which is rapidly expanding.

Our pillars are a strategic brand portfolio, design and efficiency (combining Italian taste, global trends, innovation, and speed), and a competitive value for money.

How We Work and Grow Together

Widespread entrepreneurship

Trust, autonomy, and a sense of belonging are at the core of our dynamic and human ecosystem, offering tools, support, and strategic vision for the joint growth of people and companies.

Our model is built on a solid industrial vision and a collaborative, long-term entrepreneurial culture. This is supported by: constant growth and reinvestment of profits to guarantee independence and reactivity; an integrated multi-channel widespread sales network (over 900 stores in 39 countries, significant online presence in 31 markets, expanding wholesale and e-commerce, including through marketplaces); development in consignment-based franchising which facilitates accelerated capital-light growth, mitigating risks for partners while maintaining control over the brand; continuous investment in advanced technologies (from design to logistics) to optimize the product cycle, ensuring flexibility and speed.

The approach is based on responsible governance, inspired by the founder's Purpose and Dream, and a culture that aims at the creation of economic and human value.

OUR HISTORY

A great Dream born in a small shop

When Vittorio Tadei approached the world of fashion, he was just a young boy from Rimini, a passionate cyclist curious about the world. In his sisters' clothing store in Riccione, he discovered an interest in clothing, a passion for customers, and an instinct that allowed him to precisely intuit people's desires. Two passions that would shape the soul of the future Teddy.

Who was Vittorio Tadei, really?

In the book The Minority Shareholder, journalist Marco Bardazzi takes us on an intimate and profound journey through the life of Teddy’s founder, drawing on unpublished stories and testimonies.
