Challenge accepted, challenge won: the journey of Daniel Romagnoli and his team

In Milan, between passion, growth, and trust, Daniel leads two Terranova stores, always putting people at the center.

When asked, “Tell me about a challenge you think you’ve overcome,” Daniel Romagnoli doesn’t mention an award, a sales target, or a personal milestone. He talks about his team.
About one person in particular, who used to work in the stockroom and is now his deputy—or, as Daniel likes to say, “my right hand.” Or another, who had never been given a chance, and is now the head of the stockroom. They are my greatest satisfaction. Seeing them grow, seeing them today in key positions. I like to think I played a small role in that.”

Daniel is the store manager of two Terranova locations in Milan, one on Via Torino and the other in Piazza Lima. It’s a role that requires balance, organization, and passion—qualities Daniel has had since he began his journey in 2000 at a franchise store in Macerata, in the Marche region.
It all started by chance, thanks to a friend’s advice. “Drop off a CV,” she told him. From that moment, everything took shape: “I joined, and a few months later the owner handed me the keys. Without even realizing it, I had become the store manager.” In 2009, the store came under direct management by the Teddy Group, and Daniel’s role was confirmed.

In 2012, he moved to a much larger, more structured store in the province of Pavia, where he truly felt he could put himself to the test. But his desire to grow didn’t stop, and in 2020 came the turning point: Milan. First in Corso Buenos Aires, then in Via Torino. Now he manages both stores (the Corso Buenos Aires location has since moved to Piazza Lima). “I was looking for a bigger challenge, and Milan represented that next step. Today, I couldn’t ask for more: I feel like these stores are mine.”

Today, he manages a team of around fifty people—a complex structure, divided between men's and women's departments, stockroom, and cash registers. I’ve been lucky to meet people who share my same passion. But it’s also up to me to pass it on. Once they’re trained, they become reference points for the newcomers. That’s how you build a solid team.”

His leadership is based on listening, attention to detail, and trust. “You can’t do everything alone. You need to know who you can count on. And to do that, you need to stand beside people—live with them, understand them.”

The city of Milan is a demanding environment, not just because of its size. “Customers here are very discerning. They want to know what they’re buying—if a garment is made of recycled cotton, where it comes from. Milan is a world of its own. You can’t take everything as an absolute, but you definitely need to be prepared.”

Despite his responsibilities, Daniel has never lost touch with the reality of the stores. “I like being among people. Even when I was in Rimini, I had the chance to meet the Tadei family, including Vittorio. Genuine, down-to-earth people. They make you feel heard—even if you’re expressing a doubt that might seem trivial. As Alessandro says: ‘You’re paid to tell the truth’ (referring to our CEO, Alessandro Bracci). That’s a message I truly believe in.”

This is what comes through in every word from Daniel: the truth of a job done with passion, presence, and care. And the constant desire to grow—always together with others.

At Teddy, we believe that the success of a store starts first and foremost with the growth and fulfillment of the people who bring it to life every day. It’s thanks to stories like Daniel’s that our values can take shape.
